Maggie Hood-Nugent is a devoted wife and mother of two young boys. When she isn’t chasing the boys around and making sure they are doing well, she is hanging with family, playing video games, or writing fiction and nonfiction books. Maggie has a zeal for learning and living life to the fullest, not only for her family but also for God.
Maggie has two bachelor’s degrees: one in Youth Ministry and one in Psychology. She also has a Master’s in Psychology and studied abroad at Oxford University, where she immersed herself in Behavioral Psychology. When she came back, she went into applied behavior analysis, completed coursework, and worked with kids and teens who dealt with extreme behaviors.
Maggie has always been passionate about helping at-risk teens and threw herself into her work with them. She moved from working with at-risk teens to kids and families who were dealing with big behaviors and communication problems.
Besides her passion for Psychology and Behavior science, Maggie loves to cook, play video games, and be out in nature or traveling, enjoying God’s creation. As Maggie continues to grow and see her own family grow, her passion for writing continues to grow. Her books reflect her support of the family system through compassion, love, and empathy and help those who feel like their system is falling apart.
